At 72, Theodora Finch has uprooted her life and moved clear across the country to Sagewood Manor for one last adventure. Once an affluent senior’s residence, Sagewood is now a place of peeling paint, chipped Roselyn dinnerware, and reluctant staff. It isn’t quite the grand new chapter she’d been sold in the glossy brochure. With little else to do, Theodora turns inward, reflecting on the choices that shaped her. Some were unconventional, scandalous, even for her time, but they were hers.
